See Spike Claws Shed Snow

See that halo around my front tire? That's snow being ejected out the front of my fenders. These Continental Spike Claw tires shed snow better than any other snow tire I've ridden. I highly recommend them. Also check out the Niterider MiNewt.700 Dual lights on the handle bar. A great light set to be sure.

Commuthing then Riding Indoors

Sunday....

First kick off of a new spin studio and well after my 15 mile commute I'll be instructing it.... All good tomorrow will be making up for my slacking off.
I will be hitting training hard this next coming weeks and will introduce training and commuting rides can intertwine. It has been cold here in the midwest highs in the low 20's tomorrow should be about 13 degrees for my commute, then time to workout... So my commute will be my Cold War Up...LOL
So dressing right will be very important... must cover every inch of skin...
Hopefully soon we will be setting up a clinic for wintercyclingmilwaukeestyle at Wheel And Sprocket in Brookfield...

Today not so bad it is already 20 degrees

Today it is not so bad it is in the 20's but windchill about 5...
I will be riding with about 40 lbs of air in my tires cus of snow and ice on the ground and will be wearing my rain pants and show covers as it will be a wet ride.
Remember if riding in all this road grime to ck your running gear... Keep it clean and it will last.... Any questions on keeping your ride maintained just shoot us a e-mail or post a comment.... T9 works great for chain and cogs and something like Tri-Flo works great on pivots on derailleurs and in shifters... Don't forget your cables... In the next few days we will be posting more maintenance tips. Ok time for me to get ready for my commute just heard the weather it is supposed to be colder tomorrow.... dress warm and have a great ride... cover up be safe and remember to have fun!

Drinking hot coffee ....Thinking of what I will be wearing for my commute today.
Layers yes but will need my winter coat and well when it is this cold its not easy I will be sweating underneath there's just no stopping it... It is all about covering every inch of skin and wearing lots of Windstopper/Barrier style clothing....

Products like this are essential to staying warm..

Rode a good 20+ miles and did a few hill repetes too, that was not easy on my commuter..... LOL that altera hill 6 times was a killer....

25 degrees and lil snow on the ground.....

Headed to my fav coffee shop today, it was not a bad ride, 25 degrees is a tough temp.
It is all about dressing right, Today was base layer and tights with windpants, base layer and jearsy, and my windstopper Pearl Pro Jacket, balaclava and gloves...
perfect for my short ride... with snow and ice I dropped tire pressure to 40lbs and PERFECT..... I will be heading for a longer ride this afternoon, it is all about dressing right and enjoying the ride!
